And Friends is a group of three musicians brought together by a shared love of gatherings, storytelling and community-building through music. We celebrate the act of gathering as a lens for creating and presenting original music in site specific locations. The group is composed of Nathan Koci (accordion, banjo, composition), Brett Parnell (guitars, composition), and Elena Moon Park (violin, interviewer). The original pieces we create, record and perform are inspired by conversations we have with one another and with the people around us about what brings us together in community, and the feelings, memories, and stories we all hold around gathering and gathering spaces.

 

We have created and presented original site specific works at Snug Harbor Cultural Center in Staten Island, NY, Archestratus Bookstore in Greenpoint, NY, The Owl Music Parlor in Brooklyn, NY, and the Rensing Center in Pickens, SC.
